BISE Rawalpindi's head office was inaugurated in October 1977. Before that students of Matric and intermediate apply for their board examination through other boards. Rawalpindi students were affiliated with Sargodha Board for all tasks like admission, examination results, and board responsibilities, etc. Now this board has been working for the last 33 years assembling all functions of 11th, 12th, 9th, and 10th. The main responsibility of this board is to set-paper and announce the result for the above-mentioned classes.
BISE Rawalpindi 10th class exams are conducted by the board generally in the month of March. These exams are set by the board teachers according to syllabus issued by the board to the students. Regular and private Students apply for the admission in November. The Rawalpindi board issues roll no slips to the students and exams are conducted. Practical exams are also the part of these exams.
