BISE Quetta conducts exams for intermediate levels during the month of either April or May respectively. The annual exams for 2020 were planned in the same manner as conducted previously, however, once the exams are ended, students are anxious to know about their results. BISE Quetta was established in 1976 under the West Pakistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Ordinance. The board has gained the status of being an autonomous body in the region. It is one of the most professional boards in the country as it doesn’t rely on any funding or grant from the government rather it manages all expenses on its own. BISE Quetta is fully empowered with required administrative and financial authority for organizing, regulating, developing and controlling intermediate and matriculation education for all the public and private sector institutes within its jurisdictions. The primary objective and responsibility of the board is to conduct a fair and transparent examination within the areas of its jurisdiction. BISE Quetta is the sole body in the province, therefore, it provides scholarship opportunities for students of entire Balochistan as well.
Additional examinations conducted by the board include examinations of various Diplomas. The diplomas managed by the board are Diploma in Associate Engineering, Diploma in Agriculture, Diploma in Commerce and Diploma in various other languages. BISE Quetta has one of the largest jurisdictions in the country as it includes all the institutions over entire Balochistan except the institutions located in cantonment. There is a separate cantonment board in Balochistan which manages institutions within the cantonment. BISE Quetta is committed to provide quality education and examination services for the students. The exam of FA is equally important as any other board exam but its importance and criticalness increases as it is the last external exam in college. Students from government schools usually registers their students for board exams but it is not a generally accepted practice and as far as private schools are concerned, its last exam after completion of matriculation level and it also raises stakeholders’ expectations. The anxiety and stress level of students is bound to go up as they are now being asked time and again by friends, parents, and relatives regarding preparation and later on, about the expected performance. Once the FA results are announced, students become more nervous while some of them are highly excited too.
