Intermediate exams are conducted during the months of March and April and likewise practices are followed by BISE Hyderabad. The most critical exam for the students of college level is the inter class exam as it is the last standardized external exam. BISE Hyderabad is one of the ancient educational boards in the province of Sindh. The board was established under West Pakistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Ordinance, 1961. Earlier to the establishment of board, the matriculation and intermediate exams were conducted by University of Sindh but that too were till 1950. During the duration of 1951 to 1961, the exams were conducted by BISE Karachi. The board moved to its own building which is currently in its use till date, since 1967. BISE Hyderabad has a large jurisdiction over different districts of the province. The jurisdictions include Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Matiari, Dadu, Tando Allah yar, Shaheed Benazirabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Thatta, Sujawal and Badin.
The board of Hyderabad hosts thousands of students as it has its control spread over ten districts of Sindh. The population too among these districts are on a high, therefore, BISE Hyderabad is one of the important boards not only in the province but the country. The board performs various functions including the issuance of certificates, result cards and NOCs, deals with migration requests of the students, provides information of students to the government, arrange scholarships for the students and organize co-curricular activities for the students of its assigned areas. Lastly but most importantly, the primary function and objective of BISE Hyderabad is to conduct exams for secondary and higher secondary education.
Talking of inter results, performance in these exams is very important for the students. Often institutes, parents and students don’t take it seriously. This could be due to many reasons as it is the last year of board examination and students are used to giving exams in colleges and start to experience a familiar environment. Contrary to that, there are other students who are constantly pushing themselves to outperform from the normal examination system which they are used to. As a result, the second group of students is more successful in the longer run because firstly, intermediate marks are divided in 11th and 12th classes respectively. Secondly, a good performance in intermediate ensures admission into a reputable university which can then help in getting admission to a decent enough higher education institute.
At present, BISE Hyderabad is looking to develop a strategy in the light of Sindh Board so that an announcement regarding the schedule of results can be made. A lot of queries and speculations have raised up as there is yet an announcement regarding results to appear. BISE Hyderabad is looking to firstly announce the schedule of results and then can plan accordingly for delivering results on due time. Discussions between various educational boards of Sindh has already started and they are looking to cater the requests by releasing a joint schedule. As this initiative will promote standardization and help in addressing the concern regarding results of inter 2020.
There are only speculations as of now but some of the credible sources had revealed that inter results 2020 can be publicized in the month of September. Students are very anxious to know about their results and in order to answer the institutes and schools, the announcement of results is just around the corner. Notification of results announcement will be made public soon and will be available on the official website of the board in English, Urdu and Sindhi.
