Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Dera Ghazi Khan (BISE Dg Khan) was indulged with Multan Board. All the SSC students of DG khan were associated with Multan Board for their examination process. But later on, it was decided to separate the board of DG khan from Multan Board and it was officially separated on 4th June 1989. It handles not only the Educational duties of SSC parts 1 and 2 but the HSSC part 1 and 2 are also being handled by it. Moreover, it takes the examination of four districts Muzaffargarh, Layyah, Rajanpur, and DG Khan.
Board of intermediate and secondary education Gera Ghazi Khan takes exams of the students of SSC in March. It announces the admission of eh students of SSC in November with the due dates. All the students of SSC, either regular or private, supplementary or improved division apply during the same month whereas the regular student applies for their admission via their school Principal and the rest of the students apply through the online portal of the DG Khan for admission.
