Karachi is a city which has gained the status of a hub of economic activity in the country. Attaining the status of being the largest city of the country, Karachi hosts millions of students and has thousands of educational institutes presence within the city. The examinations are conducted by the regulatory boards established by the authorities, BIEK and BSEK respectively. Conduct of exams is based on following the date sheet religiously. However, BIEK Karachi Board Inter Result 2020 is the one for which everyone is excited. Examinations of intermediate classes were completed successfully by BIEK Karachi and now is the time of results announcement. Results are a key deliverable for the boards as it is the last step in annual examination process. The examination session starts in the month of January and February with the announcement of date sheets and then conduct of exams in the following months. The last step of this rigorous process are the results announcement.
Karachi is an only exception in Pakistan, where two different educational boards are being operated for regulating and monitoring of secondary education and higher secondary education. There is a different board for 9th and 10th class and a different one for 11th and 12th classes respectively. The two boards are known as Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) and Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK). Before the establishment of these two boards, BIEK and BSEK, there was only one single board similar to what other educational boards are and it was with the name of BISE Karachi as similar to all other educational boards in the country. It was established in 1950 and were among the first boards in the newly born country.
The major purpose of the board was and still is to maintain a high standard of education within its jurisdictions. The jurisdictions of BISE Karachi included the entire Sindh, whereas, currently the two boards of Karachi manage only one city of Karachi. Earlier to independence of the country, the secondary and higher education in the entire province of Sindh was managed and looked after by University of Bombay. Afterwards, University of Sindh was established in April, 1947 which controlled the entire secondary and higher secondary education. Post-independence, in 1950, the duties of secondary and higher secondary education were transferred to Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Karachi.
The board was formulated under the central legislative act of 1950, currently, it is administered under Sindh Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act. The first office of BISE Karachi was in a residential house with a minimal staff. The first examination under BISE Karachi was conducted next year, in 1951. The board shifted to its new office in 1955, which was a new building and the same building is currently in the use of both the boards of Karachi. Regular renovations are made in the building to keep it efficient owing to the current needs of the boards. Two separate entities were made in 1974 as Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) and Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) for managing the workload of the largest city in country.
As far as the results are concerned, the official announcement by BIEK Karachi are yet to be made public. But some of the credible sources validated to declare the results by the end of August. However, the board is trying to discuss the matter with Sindh Board and all its other educational boards so that result can be announced simultaneously on the same day. Inter class results 2020 will be made available to the students through official website of the concerned board. For the first time, BIEK Karachi now also provides SMS services in which students can obtain their results by simply sending a message containing their roll numbers. Results will also be available in hard copy through procurement of the result gazette from different authorized branches of a bank as mentioned by BIEK Karachi.
Inter Board results can be crucial in determining the future of students. Successful passing out of this grade results in promotion into last grade of college, therefore, successful and decent performances in 12th class matters a great deal. Intermediate marks are calculated by accumulating performances in 11th and 12th classes respectively, thus, it is vital for a student to recognize its importance and perform well. Notifications and information related to results is available on the board’s official website, however, in order to know real time information and updates, keep visiting our website.
