Rawalpindi: The Winter break is extended for a week in all government and private schools of Punjab. The government of Punjab has extended winter vacations until 7^th of January 2019.

The decision is taken in response to the recent cold wave throughout the province. However, some private schools will remain on the previous schedule whereas, the government has implied to take strict action against the schools in case of violation.

The health experts have asserted that all should avoid severe weather. Especially the children must keep inside warm places. Furthermore, the decision is encouraged and appreciated by the parents, children are very happy with this decision as well.
