One of the largest companies providing rides within the city, Uber is now planning to acquire another company of similar nature. They already have acquired Careem and now aims to do the same with UK’s company My Lift.

At present, My Lift is providing its services in five (05) cities of Pakistan. According to sources, Careem was the first company to start ride services for convenience of general public. A few years had only passed since its operations, when Uber acquired Careem.

After the acquisition of Careem, another giant My Lift decided to start its operations in Pakistan. Sources say that Uber has contacted the management of My Lift to now acquire its services in the similar way it acquired Careem.

Uber is aiming to repeat its behavior in order to maintain its monopoly in the consumer market of Pakistan.
