Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) has secured its position among top 400 universities of the world. This is for the first time that the university has gained this position competing in Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University ranking 2019.
QS is one of the most widely recognized international university ranking system which ranks the universities on the bases of different criteria. The university has created history by securing the position among top 400 universities of the world.
Placing MIT, Stanford and Harvard at the top, QS issued the latest university ranking earlier this month on its official website.
Seven Pakistani universities have succeeded in attaining a position among top 1000 universities of the world. According to the ranking, Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) is on 397th position followed by National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) on 417th. The Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) is put between 551-560 band and Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) is placed in the 701-750 band. Similarly, COMSATS University Islamabad is placed in the 751-800 band and both University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore and Punjab University (PU) Lahore found places in the 801-1000 band.
PIEAS is one of the most prestigious universities of the world and it has proved it by gaining a position among top 400 universities of the world. The university offers graduation, masters and Ph.D. degrees in engineering and applied sciences.
