KARACHI: The MDCAT test will be held on November 13 for admissions in medical and dental colleges across the country.
 
The MD CAT test will be held on November 13 for admissions to medical and dental colleges across the country including Karachi. The duration of the written test will be 3 and a half hours. The test will start at 11 am and end at 2:30 pm.
 
Candidates are prohibited from bringing mobile phones and any kind of electronic watch or device in the written test. The written test will be held at Dow University Ojha Campus and NED University in Karachi.
 
The candidates have been instructed to reach the test center one hour before with the admit card. 462 candidates from Pakistan and foreign countries will also participate in the test.
 
Jawad Amin Khan, Chief Quadrant of Pakistan Medical Council, while giving the details of the test to Express, said that all the preparations have been completed, the written test in Enduron Sindh will be held at Jamshoro University in Hyderabad, while the test will be held at Bilawal Sports Complex in Nawabshah and Khairpur. will also be held.
 
He said that the admit cards have been sent to all the candidates at their home addresses. He said that a total of 204253 candidates have registered in which 43994 from Sindh, 83142 from Punjab, 17825 from Islamabad, 17825 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 46229, 9238 in Balochistan, 645 in Gilgit, 2718 in Azad Kashmir while 462 candidates from abroad have registered.
 
Jawad Amin further said that the examination centers in Sindh were visited on Tuesday and arrangements were also made for the parents of the candidates to sit and provide water.
 
It should be noted that due to the flood situation across the country, the MDCAT test for MBBS and BDS admissions in medical and dental colleges is being conducted after 2 months delay. will
