The decision to increase the allowance of three lakh teachers and thousands of officers posted on administrative posts across Punjab was sent to Secretary Schools Education for summary approval.
It has been decided to increase the primary head teacher's allowance from Rs.500 to Rs.10 thousand, the middle head teacher's allowance from Rs.700 to Rs.15 thousand, the high school head teacher's allowance from Rs.1200 to Rs.30 thousand and the principals and DEOs of higher secondary schools. It has been decided to increase the allowance from Rs 1500 to Rs 40 thousand.
CEO Education and Additional Divisional Director will be given a monthly allowance of Rs 50,000, the monthly allowance of Additional DPI Secondary and Elementary will be increased to Rs 60,000.
DPI will provide Rs 80,000 per month allowance to secondary and elementary schools in Punjab, the summary of increasing the allowance has been sent by the Director of Public Instruction Secondary to the Secretary Schools Education.
According to the Education Department, the purpose of the decision to increase the allowance is to make the performance of teachers more effective.
