Supreme Court of Pakistan has banned 24 mineral water companies from distributing their water in the country.

A three member bench started the hearing of the case. The lawyer of mineral water company defended his client and said that the Supreme Court can ask Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PCSQA) report if and when necessary.

Lawyers charge high fees and get other privileges from their clients but it does not give them the right to take liberties and the companies should stop selling filthy water immediately.

“These are big companies are big but the water they sell is not clean. They will not be allowed to sell water till the satisfaction of the court,” the Chief Justice directed.

The court has adjourned the hearing of the case till unspecified period.
