This marvelous incident occured when the authorities tried to put Mr. Hawking's doctoral thesis on their website when the website in result got down.
Mr. Hawking completed his thesis in 1966 when he was just 24 with the topic “Properties of Expanding Universes” in which he tried to explain the ideas about the origin of the universe. His topic of the thesis echoes throughout his life, evidently.
Hawking's thesis was the most demanded item on their website's data, claimed the university. Without any charges, the thesis was free to download for the general public. The website went down during the day as it became unable to to handle the internet.
The thesis would “inspire people around the world to look up at the stars and not down at their feet; to wonder about our place in the universe and to try and make sense of the cosmos", said Hawking after making his doctoral thesis public.
