Lahore: On Tuesday 11^th December, 2018 on “Policy Options to address Structural Weaknesses in Pakistan’s Economy” seminar was held at Government College University, Lahore

The seminar was arranged in accordance with the prevailing conditions in Pakistan the Joint Executive Director of Sustainable Development Policy Institution Islamabad Dr Vaqar Ahmad attended the seminar as key speaker. The eminent economist stressed on the necessary coordination amongst the institutional bodies of Pakistan where as he provided the example of Malaysian economic model of growth. Dr . Vaqar further said that we need to minimize the size of government for reducing the unnecessary expenditures.

The seminar was arranged by Mehboobul Haq Economic society of GCU, the students and great number of faculty members also attended the valuable and informative seminar. Dr Vaqar and Vice Chancellor GCU Prof Dr Hassan Amir Shah also discussed the opportunities where the university and Sustainable developmental Policy Institution can work in research collaboration.
