Today in the meeting of ministry of Education it is decided that Schools in coronavirus hotspot areas to remain closed till April 11, 2021. With increasing rate of COVID-19 pandemic Ministry of Education Shafqat Mehmood has announced today that school of major cities shall remain closed due to severe conditions. Health of the students cannot be compromised.

"All public & private schools of Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargodha, Sheikhupura will remain closed till April 11th, 2021. The remaining districts will be open on the previous schedule," he tweeted.

After the NCOC decision it is confirmed that schools or academies that are still opened in evening in the mentioned areas will face severe consequences. Those educational institutes found violating the government instructions and rules will be sealed immediately.

Further Shafqat Mehmood has confirmed that exams of 9^th, 10^th and inter will be according to the schedule according to the dates announced by the official boards.
