The interviews were held in November 2018 for the post. In the results of the interview, Dr. Razia Sultana topped. Besides, Dr. Ghazala Yasmeen and Dr. Noorjehan were also on top ranks. At present Dr. Ghazala is serving as the Vice-chancellor of Women University and Dr. Noorjehan is former VC of the University of Swabi.

The university faces the challenges of uncertainty and regulation of orders due to the absence of regular Vice-Chancellor. The government has taken a long delay in the decision even after the interviews have already been conducted.
