Punjab University inaugurates seven research laboratories

Punjab Minister for Higher Education Syed Raza Ali Gillani at Punjab University Centre for Coal Technology has inaugurated seven ultra-modern research laboratories with an aim to research in coal technology, energy, and environmental engineering, with the cost of 182 million PKR.

The labs were armed with the latest research instruments and machines with a cost of 140 million rupees, according to a private media outlet.

The neighbouring countries are worried about Pakistan’s rapid progress, said the minister while addressing the inauguration ceremony. The students would work hard and excel in their respective fields to serve the country, he added.

“Our curriculum must be in line with existing technology. We must promote entrepreneurship programmes and linkages with industry and PHEC would fund seminars and conferences,” said Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHCE) Chairman Dr Nizamuddin.
