Forgery in the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) exams also, revelations of rigging in the 2020 written exams, the Sindh High Court declared the written exams null and void.
In its report submitted before a double bench comprising Justice Muhammad Iqbal Kalhoro and Justice Adnan Al Kareem, the Registrar High Court revealed that the commission staff checked the copies without informing the monitoring committee and gave extra marks to the candidates. It was informed that for 2020, the High Court had ordered to conduct the examinations under the supervision of Registrar Karachi, Additional Registrar Hyderabad, Larkana and Sukkur.
These three members said in their report that after the written examination the copies were sealed and sent to SPSC head office under police supervision. To join, the three officers wrote several letters to SPSC, but after two years they were contacted and told that the copies should be given for checking, come and join us.
He said in his report to the court that when the judicial staff reached SPSC, tampering was found in the cells of copies, copies were checked without informing us and candidates were also given extra marks.
In the report, he further stated that Chairman SPSC told the court staff that they have sent findings to the Chief Secretary against those who tampered with the copies.
In its order, the court wrote that the SPSC officials misused their powers and gave favors to their favorite candidates.
