Planting Awareness: Youth is ready to avoid the Pollutants from the Capital

Islamabad Devcom Centennial Leo Club (IDCLC) launched a program for engaging youth in the environmental conservation on Friday. This event is organized for the healthy environment of Islamabad and its population.

Munir Ahmed who is the speaker of the occasion; while the Devcom-Pakistan Director and the founding advisor of IDCLC spoke about the environmental crisis and water scarcity for the country’s youth. He said that a 62 % of the total population of Pakistan is combating environmental degradation and water scarcity.

A conservationist and ex-member environment of CDA Sanaullah Aman spoke about the significant role of clean and green nature for the healthy environment. He also said that the IDCLC members can lead by mobilizing the youth of different educational institutions and universities for the implementation of concentrated action agenda.

Mome Saleem, the Chief coordinator of RGI joined the young audience; while briefing them about the different ways to reduce Green-House Gas ejection.

Leo Haares Munir, the incoming president briefed to the young members of the IDCLC for the development of a year-long action plan to contribute their efforts for the improvement of local environmental conditions and uplift the awareness among the population to reduce the carbon.
