Peshawar Women University without VC since April 2018

Peshawar, Two year ago Academic Search Committee has recommended the vice-chancellor, but provincial government has failed on the selection of VC of Shaheeb Benazir Bhutto Women University (SBBWU).

According to sources, since 2018, Women University is working with previous vc on acting basis, undesirably upsetting the managerial affairs of the university.

On April 6, 2018, four year tenure of Dr Razia Sultana the regular vice-chancellor has expired, but after her retirement, provincial government has given her the permission to work with university on acting basis till the new vc appointment.

Higher education department place the advertisement of job after her tenure complete, and three members applied to the vacancy, according to sources. Ten member among them were declared eligible for the post informed by scrutiny committee.
