American state Virginia has just appointed a Pakistani-born American their first Muslim minister of Pakistani decent to run the state’s education department.
This young Pakistani-born American named Atif Qarni took an oath on Holy Quran for his designation.
The newly elected secretary of education to foresee an academic policy which supports Virginian schools as well as the institutions of higher education.
Atif Qarni is first Muslim to become a minister, according to the Richmond Times.
“It’s important that we have a state education secretary who understands the curriculum and classes from kindergarten to high school and has a vision of how to develop education,” Northam State Governor stated on the oath taking ceremony.
