Islamabad: On Monday 26^th November, 2018 an amazing event was held at Higher Education Commission‘s Secretariat for launch ceremony of Pakistan-UK educational gateway. The gateway is said to cover the critical areas on higher education in Pakistan.

The educational gateway aims to provide constant help and cooperation to the critical areas og higher education in Pakistan. The gateway is the evidence of long satnding friendship and cooperation between the two states. The project includes programs for PhD scholarships, the exchange program of students and faculty, finding more funding agencies and research firms, capacity building programs and short training programs.

The event was attended by HEC Chairman Dr. Tariq Banuri, Executive Director, HEC, Lt. Gen (r) Muhammad Asghar, British High Commissioner to Pakistan Thomas Drew, Country Director, British Council Rosemary Hilhorst, Secretary General, Association of Commonwealth Universities Joanna Newman, Consultant, HEC Dr. Mahmood-ul-Hassan Butt. The participants also included many Vice Chancellors from esteemed Universities of Pakistan. Representatives from UK Universities also attended the ceremony. . Joanna Newman and Dr. Mahmood-ul-Hassan Butt also addressed the attendees.
