Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) has developed an in-house Learning Management System (LMS) which shall be rolled out for the use of students and staff from next week on wards. Higher Education Commission (HEC) had advised all universities in the month of May to have an LMS whether procured or in-house developed. Following the same guidelines, LCWU has been successful in developing the system as required.
IT team of the institute has developed the system within a record period of two months. The Head of IT said that this system will be accessible to students, staff and faculty from their homes and capacity building of all has already been completed in the month of Ramadan. 600 Faculty Members and approximately 11,000 students across 46 departments will be facuilitated using this LMS. VC of LCWU said that in order to facilitate students and faculty, the learning resource materials have already been uploaded on website, web tv and online course directory.
