One Belt One Road Initiative, China to Offer Scholarships to Pakistani Students

The government of China is offering special scholarships to Pakistani students under its One Belt One Road initiative for which Pakistani students are encouraged to apply. Sias International University (SIU) President Dr Sikun Chen expressed these thoughts as he was briefing Pakistani media delegation in Henan province on Saturday.
 
All the students belonging to countries associated to OBOR initiative are invited to apply for the scholarship and get the benefits of this opportunity, Dr. Chen said. Talking about the percentage of the students Dr. Chen said “Sixty per cent of awardees shall be from OBOR member states as per the directives of the Chinese government.”
 
He told the media that 300 international academia belonging to 25 different countries and almost 27,000 students are enrolled here at SIU. Dr. Chen told that two of the Pakistani students have already completed their degrees here. There are 135 full time faculty members included in 1,500 faculty members. The university offers degrees in nine different disciplines including engineering and law, management and medicine.
