National University of Science and Technology (NUST) took notice of the offensive remarks by its student. This student tweeted against the abducted journalist Gul Bukhari but after the action of NUST, he tweets an apology and expressed repentance over his inappropriate statement.
NUST took notice of the offensive remarks on Friday made by its student named Mursaleen. NUST posted a tweet on the university’s official Twitter account. The tweet was:
“NUST management has taken notice of the remarks made by its student, Muhammad Mursaleen, and appropriate action is being taken in this regard”.
A few hours later, Mursaleen tweets an apology to Gul Bukhari from his Twitter account, in which he expressed his repentance over his inappropriate statement. He apologizes for his remarks against Gul Bukhari. He said: His expression and choice of words are unacceptable.
After the tweet posted by Mursaleen, Gul Bukhari appreciating the gesture and tweeted the response.
She said that: “Thank you for your apology. You are probably young enough to be my son. I do pray to god that you never wish sexual torture on any woman, leave alone on a woman old enough to be your mother. My sincere prayers for your future. God bless."
According to the sources, Bukhari was kidnapped when she was on her way to Waqt TV studio on Fatimah Jinnah road for a talk show on Tuesday night. She was kidnapped on Sherpao Bridge in Lahore cantonment area. Her parents had reported her missing to the police, but soon on Wednesday, her family confirmed that she was fine and in the home.
