A maritime university will be established soon in Pakistan to meet the needs of the field, announced Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi on Wednesday.

Allah has blessed our country with limitless resources but a huge resource like sea has not been utilized properly, said Naval Chief Abbasi while addressing a gathering at Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He suggested that maritime security should be supervised by one ministry instead of several ministries.

The Naval Chief took commission in operation branch of Pakistan Navy back in 1981 and has been appointed as Naval Chief since October 2017.
