Nation celebrates Pakistan Day with passion of patriotism

The day marks 78th Pakistan Day as the resolution for a separate homeland was presented on March 23rd 1940. The resolution was meant to get independence form the British as well as the Hindus of sub-continent and create a separate homeland for the Muslims of South Asia.

The day started with 31-guns’ salute in the capital city of the country and 21-guns’ salute in the provincial capitals and national flag was hoisted on many government buildings. This year’s Pakistan day approached on Friday and special prayers were made for the security and prosperity of the country.

A magnificent military parade was conducted by Pakistani Armed Forces at the Parade Avenue in Islamabad where march past and the fighter jets presented aerobatic maneuvers.

President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Mamnoon Hussain was the chief guest of this parade and Sri Lankan president was invited as the guest of honour. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and the heads of all three services chiefs also witnessed the parade.

The day is celebrated every year to recall the efforts and struggles of our ancestors for Pakistan and the sacrifices of its people to protect it from evil eyes.
