MEHERGARH (A Center for Learning) is going to start the 3 days Residential Course on pluralistic folklore, promoting cultural narrative and countering militancy from September 8, to September 10. Participants will receive a certificate after successful completion in the groundbreaking course.
The purpose of the course is to understand the pluralistic nature of Pakistani culture. Interested candidates will study the value of promoting folklore and cultural narrative. The course is open to all interested citizens and strongly recommended for students of cultural studies, anthropology, and other social sciences. It is also relevant for activists who want to pursue culture as an avenue for the social change.
A Cultural Activist, and Folklorist, DR Fouzia Saeed will start to teach on the various topics of attention including the Exploring cultural diversity of Pakistan, Historical Roots, Alternative Cultural narratives, Politics of Culture, and Cultural policy and promotion of cultural narratives.
The last applying date is August 25, 2018. Hopeful candidates should have a prior engagement with cultural activism and peace promotion.
