Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman Rejects the Decision to Approve the New Board of Madrassas

Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman’s, the leader of JUI warns to Govt. He says the federation of madrassas is our organisation and we are responsible for its chores and activities. He rejected the decision of the government of establishing a new board of Madrassas. According to the statement, it is not the demand of students and Scholars but the will of the establishment that had come true. He gave a serious reaction to the decision by saying that these new boards will face the same situation as Musharraf’s Board; moreover, he said that Government is a slave and an agent of foreign. If such thing happens then it is possible that students would be on street in protest.

According to the notification, the boards named by Ittihad Al Madaris Al Arabiya, Ittihad Al Madaris Al Islamiya, Nizam Al Madaris Pakistan, Majma Al Madaris Taleem Al Kitab Wal Hakma, wafaq al madaris ul Islamiyah alrizwiya are granted as religious madrassah boards. Jamia Rasheed has also got the status of the regular institute. The degrees of these boards will have equivalence to the traditional educational system.

Maulana fazl-ur-Rehman said that if the decision of the new board would not be withdrawn, students will be on roads for protest. According to him, if the Federal madrassah board cannot provide safety to madrasahs then JUI will. He said that any other Islamic board is not acceptable except of Federal madaris Arbiya (Wafaq ul Madaris Arabiya).
