Sialkot made headline across the globe for another time after it was revealed that the footballs for upcoming FIFA World Cup will be made in Sialkot. The city is famous for sports goods and had produced footballs for the last World Cup as well.

The football World Cup will be held in Russia this time and the Russian Ambassador to Pakistan has said that the footballs made in Sialkot will be used in the tournament.

“Pakistan is one of the most renowned countries in the world in the manufacture of sport equipment. We want to enhance our cooperation with Pakistan to other sectors as well,” the Russian Ambassador Alexey Dedov stated.

The city is already famous on the international level for its sports’ goods and this is the time that government can increase the export of sports’ goods by reforming the industry and solving the problems of the workers.
