LAT announced by Higher Education Commission for academic session of 2020 – 2021

Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced the schedule of Law Admission Test (LAT) as per the guidelines of Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) and orders of Honorable Superior Court of Pakistan. The admission test will be conducted for those students, who desire to get an admission in any of the PBC and HEC recognized Law Institutes for 5-year LLB program. Detailed list of pattern syllabus, schedule, fees and registration mechanism has been publicized by HEC for the convenience of students.

All those students that have acquired a minimum of 12 years’ education or equivalent can apply for LAT. However, those students who are result awaiting are also eligible. The division of pattern is based on Essay (Urdu/English), Personal Statement (Urdu/English), and MCQs related to English Language, General Knowledge, Islamic Studies, Pakistan Studies, Urdu and Mathematics. The total marks will be 100 and one has to secure at least 50% marks to get pass. Dates of exam will be announced soon by HEC as of now, the registration process has been opened.

Registration of LAT will be completed online from the website of HEC. Candidates will firstly have to complete their profiles from the My Profile section and then submit their application using the LAT link on menu panel of the website. Test Fee will be Rs. 500/- which is to be deposited in official bank account of HEC in Habib Bank Limited (1742 7900 1334 01). The fee deposit slip will then have to be sent to HEC Secretariat on Room # 13-209, 2nd Floor, HRD Building, HEC, H-8 Islamabad, Pakistan. Last date for registration of LAT is 21st July, 2020.
