Asian technology giant Japan has granted MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) Research and Undergraduate Scholarships for Masters, Doctorate and bachelor’s degrees for 2018 to 11 Pakistan students. The main purpose of these scholarships is to provide an opportunity to these students to pursue their education in the world’s leading universities.

Japanese Embassy organized a short orientation session on Sunday for the students before the departure of the students to pursue their higher studies.

Japanese MEXT Scholarship Programme was initiated in 1954 whereas MEXT undergraduate scholarships were announced in Pakistan in 1958.

This programme will allow the students to come into contact with Japanese students and their culture and strengthen the bond between the nations.
