The School Education Department of Punjab has instructed all the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of District Education Authority (DEA) to forbid the schools in giving any irrelevant tasks to Computer or IT teachers. The instructions were to be followed strictly in true letter and spirit. The instructions were laid through an implicit official intimation and School Education Department also mentioned that the same order shall be monitored by the authority too.
School Education Department received numerous complaints that schools have assigned clerical work to IT teachers like data entry and maintaining computerized records. However, DEA has been instructed that teachers shall only be providing their services for imparting education rather than any other work. Few of the government teachers have been complaining of the same but DEA has been advised to rescue all such requests and instructed to not tolerate any such behavior from neither any public nor private school.
