The Islamabad High Court ordered National Revenue Board to return the computers to NTS excluding those which have financial record it them. The computers and other record were seized from the head office of National Testing Service (NTS).
The Intelligence & Investigation director of the Inland Revenue told the court that the NTS declared only five out of fifteen accounts and ten accounts were hidden from the tax authorities. The computers were taken under custody to bring out a thorough investigation on tax theft, he further said.
The Inland Revenue Department officials had detained all the 45 computers, while financial record was saved in only four of them and rest of the computers had had test related data, NTS Counsel Murtaza Pirzada informed the court.
The court, after hearing the case ordered the FBR to return the computers containing test record to the NTS authorities.
