Internet In Pakistan Interrupted Due to Submarine Cable Cut

Internet facility in Pakistan is getting slower due to a recent submarine cable cut connecting Pakistan and the world. A major portion of internet surfing traffic is handled by SEA-ME-WE-5.  SEA-ME-WE-5 got offline earlier today, the told reason is the fault accoured near Cairo, Egypt. The design capacity of this cable is 24 TBms and its serves the 50 % bandwidth need of Pakistan.  The rectification process can go long for nearly 15 days. At the time no ETA can be provided due to the unavailability. So submarine cable cannot up and functional instantly.

In Pakistan, the dynamic need for the Internet is increasing and there is a need to increase more cables. This is another cable cut internet issue on a large scale within a week.
