Important news for Pakistani students, Pakistan's 21 universities have succeeded in gaining a place in the world rankings.
 
 Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad tops the list of "Best Global Universities 2022" published by US News & World Report based in Washington. 495th, NIST Islamabad 922nd, University of Peshawar 933rd, University of Agriculture Faisalabad 954th.
 
 Government College University Faisalabad ranked 1149th, University of Punjab 1242nd, Bahauddin Zakaria University 1368th, University of Engineering and Technology 1458th, University of Karachi 1543rd, University of Lahore 1562nd and University of Sargodha is ranked 1664th. The ranking of Government College University Lahore 1739th, Aird Agriculture University, Dow University of Health Sciences, University of Engineering and Technology Taxila has not been released yet.
 
 Universities in the United States and the United Kingdom are in the top ten positions, with Howard University in the United States at number one, Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States at number two, Stanford University in the United States at number three, University of California at Berkeley in the United States and Oxford University in the United Kingdom at number four.
