The Punjab government has decided to reduce the syllabus of the first to tenth grade schools by 20% for the current academic year.
According to the details, the Department of School Education Punjab has decided to reduce the curriculum of schools for students from first class to matric in view of the delayed start of the current academic year. Parents said that the full syllabus would have burdened the students. The School Education Department will make the final announcement after consulting all the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs).
It may be noted that the Punjab government is working on a policy to regulate all matters of private educational institutions including their fee structure. The implementation of the law is expected as soon as the draft for the formation of private educational institutions is approved by the Punjab Assembly.
