Inter Board committee of chairman had an online meeting last Tuesday where the idea of promoting the students of 9^th and 1^st year was discussed
An online meeting in which Secretary IBCC, Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Chairman Intermediate Board Karachi, Dr. Saeeduddin, Chairperson of Sargodha Board of Education, Dr. Kausar Raees, Chairman of Kohat Board, Dr. Shaukat Hayat, and Chairman of Federal Board, Dr. Qaiser Alam had participated. The issue of examination of students was discussed. There they floated the idea of cancelling the exams of 9^th and 1^st year students and promoting them to the next class without examination.

Further it was discussed during the meeting that paper pattern should be slightly alternated so that students can shortly complete it. Idea of taking exams of only optional subjects for science students was considerable as they have only a few optional subjects whereas the arts optional subjects are more.

Immediately after taking the final decision on the minutes discussed during the meeting report will be submitted. After developing consensus on this issue, it will be presented before Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference for final approval before implementation.
