The Punjab government goes to hire the Vice-chancellors (VCs) at seven public sector universities in Punjab next month. The Punjab Higher Education Department (HED) has processed to conduct interviews of VC candidates. The Punjab government is still on working for appointing the VCs at public sector universities which has already been delayed for some issues.
In addition, the interviews have conducted against the University of Jhang, the University of Sahiwal, University of Okara, Ghazi University Dera Ghazi Khan, Information Technology University (ITU) Lahore, Women University Multan, and University of Home Economics Lahore.
Furthermore, the appointments would not be a delay after the General Elections 2018. The vacant seats will be filled up after the whole clarifications of VCs aspirants. The Higher Education Department (HED) has required only one month for the recruitments of mandatory Vice-Chancellors (VCs).
