The Higher Education Commission (HEC) discloses the fake news claiming that it has not rejected any university chartered by K-P. In addition, HEC clarifies that after the granting permission of provincial governments, HEC applies for the universities.

 HEC has resorted to social media for clarifying the controversies about the rejection of recognizing the varsities 4 out of 9.

HEC claims; it did not issue any statement and press release in this regard.

HEC detailed that it has conducted an accreditation visit for  the grant of charter and no objection commission (NOC) for the number of universities as the University of Chitral, University of Engineering and Technology, Mardan, University of Buner, Abbottabad University of Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology Lakki Marwat, and Agriculture University Mardan.

The HEC Chairperson, Tariq Banuri shared the actual status for the misunderstandings on the social media pages like Facebook, and Twitter.
