The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) has distributed no less than 4500 laptops among the students belonging to Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), under Prime Minister Laptop Scheme.

For upcoming schemes, over 7000 applications have been received so far and maximum number of laptops for upcoming phase for FATA is 5000, according to an official of HEC.

He further said that government through HEC would distribute 5000 more laptops among the students of private universities of these areas and the ceremony would take place in February-March 2018.
