The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan made an announcement of PhD scholarships under Faculty Development Programme initiated by HEC, an official said.

The scholarships will be granted in specific disciplines to the candidates who would pass HEC Aptitude Test (HAT) with at least 50% marks, the official added.

The aspirants who have at least 18 years of education in the relevant discipline can apply online on HEC e-portal: eportal.hec.gov.pk/ofdp by December 20^th.

The aspirant will be able to secure admission in any of the university located in any country with which the HEC has signed an agreement, the official further said.

The candidate must be a lecturer of the university mentioned by HEC in this scholarship programme and he/she will have to serve for at least five years after the completion of PhD.
