The management of Punjab University has announced online exams for all students of B.A. and B. Sc. Part II. For the very first time, university is conducting online exams and the deadlines for that have already been publicized. However, the admission process for registering into these exams is complex but few of the guidelines mentioned by our website shall facilitate the students. Registration process was informed to all students but the last date for registration was 24th July, 2020.
Roll number slips for all the students have been uploaded on Punjab University’s official website. Students can login into their profiles and take print outs of the roll number slip. However, the students of affiliated institutes can obtain their roll number slips from their respective institutes as PU has emailed their roll number slips. Students who had provided their details to PU should check their email inboxes as they have been sent links for downloading Safe Exams Browser (SEB). This application will be used for conducting online exam. As far as specifications of laptop or PC are concerned, it shall either have Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 installed in it. Moreover, the microphone and camera of the laptop shall be in working condition.
The room from where student has to appear in exam shall not have anyone else except him. Students are also facilitated by giving them the availability of mock exam as there should be no difficulty or complexity on the day of exam. Login credentials for SEB have also been shared with all the students. On the day of exam, the meeting link will be forwarded to students which will also have a link to the paper. While attempting the paper, no one else would be allowed to sit in the same room where student is sitting and this shall be inspected via the camera of student. Furthermore, students will not be allowed to open any other app during the exam. Proctor of the university will be regularly monitoring the students and video shall be recorded of all students during the exam.
