Govt Extends Summer Vacation of Schools till July 31

The caretaker government of Sindh has extended summer vacation period of schools on the recommendation of the education department. Sindh’s caretaker chief minister Fazal-ur-Rehman approved the recommendation.

The education department had recommended an extension in summer vacation of schools, colleges and universities till July 27, due to forthcoming general elections.

The summer break has been extended to July 31 as school teachers will be busy discharging duties of general elections, according to a notification by Sindh education department.

The extension will add 16 more holidays to the earlier period of summer vacation as in schools will reopen on August 1.

The summer break saw an earlier start this year due to scorching heat at the start of Ramazan and Sindh government announced summer vacation of private and public schools of Sindh from May 14 to July 16.

The Election Commission of Pakistan has announced July 25 for the general elections in the country.
