Swat University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Muhammad Jamal Khan distributed around 358 laptops among the students. The faculty members, focal persons and students of different teaching departments attended the laptop distribution ceremony.
The information technology was vital for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan, said Swat University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Muhammad Jamal Khan.
"Positive use of the information technology can improve the students' learning process and will make them able to contribute to the country's development," the vice chancellor further said.
With low resources, the university is striving to provide better educational facilities and learning environment to the students, he further said.
The university has distributed around 1,160 laptops among its students under Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme and more laptops will be distributed among the talented and intelligent students of the university in the future, said Director of the Directorate of Information Technology, University of Swat, Fida Hussain.
At the end of the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor of the university distributed the laptops and certificates among the students, organizers and focal persons of the university.
