Govt announces scholarships for the Pakistani students

Minister of Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal inaugurated the ceremony of National Endowment Scholarships for Talent (NEST) at the capital city of Pakistan.

The minister speaking at the opening ceremony said that the government is determined to develop the educational sector of the country through NEST. The government has allotted Rs 5.2 billion in order to provide best educational facilities and opportunities in the education, he further said.

The scholarship programme has already benefitted 2,244 poor but brilliant students belonging to less privileged areas. The scholarships are meant for the students of intermediate and graduation level. This scholarship programme also aims at providing Qarz-e-Hasna for overseas masters programmes for deprived and brilliant students.
