Govt. approves to fund 5 new colleges in Rawalpindi

A new project is launched by government of Punjab to construct five girls and boys colleges in the division of Rawalpindi.

According to the project, five new colleges will be constructed and four new classrooms will be established in older colleges in order to cover the deficiency of space for the students.

The government will spend approximately Rs. 371.6 million on the project; the funds have already been allocated during the local budget.

As per the sources, funds for the project will be provided in September. Around Rs. 60 million will be spent to construct new block in Government Post Graduate Girls College Satellite Town; Rs. 408.7 million will be used on the establishment of New Degree College in Chak Beli Khan whereas Rs. 306.6 million will be spent on the construction of Girls College in Mandra area of Rawalpindi zone.

 Rs. 50 million are to be spent on the construction of Girls College in Dhamiyal Rawalpindi and Rs. 403. 7 million will be spent on the construction of Girls Degree College in Gujar Khan.

Approximately Rs. 303.2 million will be consumed on the construction of Degree College in Chakwal and Rs. 403. Million are allocated for Girls Degree College in Jhelum.

 An additional amount of Rs. 308 million will be spent for the establishment of a college in Hassanabdal.
