Government announces Public holiday in Mirpur after Shocking Earhquake

Government has declared a public holiday in Mirpur Azad Kashmir on September 25 after a 5.8 magnitude earthquake on Tuesday killed 22 people and injured around 300. However, the educational sector will remain closed for two days.

Scores of buildings, shops and markets demolished in various parts of Azad Kashmir, while pictures taken from the affected areas show massive cracks on roads. Emergency alert has been declared at all hospitals and rescue teams rushed to help the people.
