GCU and Turkish University Signs Accord

Lahore: On Monday 22nd October 2018 Government College University has signed an accord with Bartin University of Turkey.  The accord includes a collaborative research project for the production of cost effective bioethanol. The project is set to meet the need of fuel and energy for production in industries.

The ceremony chaired by General Emir Ozbey of Turkish Council. It was held in Bukhari auditorium of Government College University. The project includes exchange program of Ph.D students of GCU and Bartin University. The projected is to be funded by Higher Education commission, Pakistan and Council of Higher Education, Turkey.

In the ceremony Dean of Bartin University Science department Dr. Ahmet Karada stated that 95% of energy is imported by Turkey and Pakistan to meet its energy need for production and had not yet pull full efforts in production of more sustainable energy.
