As soon as the educational institutes were allowed to open their gates, the entire country experienced a series of events including results, admissions and classes. Recently, Higher Education Commission (HEC) has invited applications from all over Pakistan in which fully funded scholarships will be available for the students. These scholarships will primarily be available for the programs of MS, M. Phil and PhD for the batches of Spring and Fall in the upcoming session of 2021.

The primary focus will be on Engineering and Technology programs but PhD scholarship will be awarded in limited fields only. Successful candidates will study in any of the top ranked foreign universities as identified by HEC. Only those universities will be allowed to study that have been ranked and identified by HEC as top ranked foreign universities of advanced countries. Deadline for the submission of applications is October 12^th, 2020 and candidates should have a BS degree with a minimum of 3.00 CGPA for applying in any MS / M. Phil program. All of the candidates shall be registered with National Technology Council (NTC) of Pakistan. For applying into PhD programs, a candidate should have at least 18 years of education.

Moreover, experienced individuals can also apply for the scholarships, but a special preference shall be given to those who are working in Research and Development organizations but should be registered with Pakistan Council for Science and Technology. However, the ages of such individuals shall be below 40 years and deadline for experienced individuals is also October 12^th, 2020. HEC will award scholarships purely on merit basis through an HEC Aptitude Test (HAT) conducted by Education Testing Council. Scholarships will be awarded to only those applicants, who will get at least 70% of marks in HAT.
