The Former Rector of the University of Management and Technology and the Chairman of ILM Trust, Hasan Sohaib Murad has passed away in a road accident near Khunjerab pass on the evening of September 10, 2018.

Moreover, the dead body of the founder of UMT is expected to reach at Lahore around 4 pm, will be taken directly to his residence (100 Y Block DHA). After that, it will be shifted to the Morgue. Namaz –e-Janaza will be offered tomorrow at UMT Greens after Asar Prayer.

Dr. Hasan Sohaib Murad is the Ex Vice-Chancellor of the University of Management and Technology and the Chairman of ILM schools. He belonged to Jamat-e-Islami party. He really was a humble and down to earth man. He granted a lot of scholarships to the underprivileged students. UMT has lost the real gem from them. May Allah grant him peace and the highest rank in Jannah.
